Most health programs focus on only one or two aspects of good health, even though most studies show that good health and long life are factors of more than just diet and exercise. To be fit and achieve one's maximum potential a person must be healthy mentally and spiritually as well.

At the other side of the equation, most scholastic programs ignore the spiritual aspect of mental success, while most people persuing faith or spirituality ignore the effects of mental atrophy on spiritual ability.

The list of curious oversights continues, but we'll skip to the main point. If you want to be your best in terms of either physical fitness, health, mental capacity, or spirituality then you must endeavor to increase your physical fitness, health, mental capacity, and spirituality. To fail in any one area of health will bring you up short of your potential in the other three areas.
